FAQ’s

Why has my juice separated in the bottle?

All our juices are freshly made using natural ingredients and should be kept chilled. They will inevitably separate when left to stand causing a sediment to form at the bottom of the bottle, which is normal. Please shake well before drinking to bring together the full textures and flavours.

Green Fusion should be consumed within 3 days after delivery date for best quality. Pineapple Tangawizi and Petal and Rose should be consumed up to 7 days after delivery date for best quality.

How do I store my Sea Moss?

Sea Moss Gel is a short life product and needs to be refrigerated immediately upon delivery! Please store in the coldest part of your fridge ( on the bottom shelf at the back of your refrigerator ) . Consume within 14 days upon arrival but Sea Moss Gel can also be frozen. Use an ice cube tray and fill it with Sea Moss Gel. When it is completely frozen, place cubes into an airtight freezer bag / pouch and use as needed. This should be used within 3 to 6 months.

What’s the shelf life of my ready-meal and can I freeze it?

Our ready-meals are freshly prepared and should be kept refrigerated and consumed within 3 days after the delivery date. (i.e. If you receive your meals on Sunday, they should be consumed by Wednesday of that week for best quality).

Our quinoa boxes and soups (not pasta) can be frozen to retain freshness, but inevitably upon defrosting they will have a slightly higher water content than if you were to consume them from fresh within the specified timeframe above.

How do I reheat my meal to retain its best quality?

We appreciate that people’s preferred methods of cooking and heating their meals can differ. Here are a few methods we’d recommend to ensure you have the best experience when it comes to reheating our fresh ready-meal food products:

Important notes & tips:

  • This is a guide only and you should always follow appropriate instructions relevant to your cook/heating appliance and methods.

  • Our food boxes and fruit pots are all made from a variety of plant-based, compostable, recycled materials. Boxes are microwavable, but all LIDS ARE NOT so please remove them before attempting to heat the food.

  • Air fryers are great but they tend to crisp foods up and crispy Quinoa is not great. However customers have advised that having tried reheating in an air fryer it actually comes out really well, but it may depend on your appliance and never heat for too long to be on the safe side - we don’t want you to ruin your meal!

Re-heating in a Microwave

  • Remove lid from box and place chilled meal into the microwave oven.

  • Place a microwavable cover over the box if you have one.

  • Reheat on full power for 3 – 3 ½ mins (800w)

  • Remove from microwave and lightly comb through food with a fork to ensure it is hot throughout.

  • You can either transfer to a plate/bowl or eat from the box.

  • Don’t forget to add your tasty sauce to enhance the flavours. Enjoy your meal!

Conventional Fan or Gas Oven

  • Pre-heat over to 180 Degrees Celsius.

  • Remove lid from box and place chilled meal onto a baking tray and onto the middle shelf of the oven.

  • Reheat for approximately 5 mins then check the temperature and continue for another couple of minutes if required. Remember you don’t want to dry your food out, so be careful not to overheat!

  • Remove from oven and lightly comb through food with a fork to ensure it is hot throughout.

  • You can either transfer to a plate/bowl or eat from the box.

  • Don’t forget to add your tasty sauce to enhance the flavours. Enjoy your meal!

Heating in a Frying Pan on the hob (in the home or at camp) - an old school method that never fails in its effectiveness!

  • Gently warm your pan with just a touch of water for lubrication and to create a soft steam.

  • Making sure the pan isn’t too hot, decant the food from your box adding the largest item first (e.g. the meat or fish).

  • Heat the pan slowly gently keeping the food moving until hot.

  • Add the rest of your food (e.g. quinoa, vegetables etc.)  and continue to gently stir until the whole meal is hot.

  • Transfer to a plate/bowl or back into your box.

  • Don’t forget to add your tasty sauce to enhance the flavours. Enjoy your meal!
